Lady Tigers extend record to 20-9

Hartselle volleyball team won two games and lost two at the Huntsville Times Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers improved the overall record to 20-9.

Wins came against Randolph, 25-19, 25-19 and Lee of Huntsville, 25-11, 25-9. Losses were to Buckhorn 2-0 and Sparkman 2-1.

Taylor Dellinger led the Lady Tigers against Randolph with 12 kills, seven digs and a pair of aces. Taylor Lybarger had eight kills, seven digs and two aces, Haley Jared scored three kills and seven digs, Melissa Paul Hill had 20 assists, two digs and two aces, Sarah Ellen Battles added sine digs and an ace, Tori Denslow had three digs and two blocks and Tori Miller added two digs and an ace.

Lybarger scored eight kills and had six digs and an ace to lead her team in the win over Lee. Jared has six kills and three digs, Dellinger scored four kills, four digs and two aces, Tori Denslow had four kills and three digs, Hill had 17 assists, a kill and two digs, Battles had six digs, Denslow had four kills and three digs, Miller had two digs, Claire Forsythe had two kills and a dig and Katy Beth Bole had four assists.

Against Buckhorn, Dellinger led the Lady Tigers with five kills, two digs and an ace, Jared had four kills, an assist, a dig and two blocks, Lybarger scored two kills and three digs, Hill had 10 assists, a dig, an ace and two blocks, Battles had four digs and Denslow and Bole each had two blocks.

In the Sparkman loss, Lybarger led the Lady Tigers with 10 kills and eight digs, Dellinger scored eight kills, 12 digs, three aces and a block, Jared had two kills, eight digs, two assists and a block, Hill had two kills, 20 assists and five digs, Battles has 10 digs and an assist, Denslow added two kills and two blocks, Miller had four digs and an ace and Forsythe had a block.
