HU names Sittason GM

“I couldn’t be happier or more pleased for Bob (Sittason),” said Vest. “He has a thorough knowledge of operations and is fully aware of the issues HU faces. I think he is well-prepared to take on the challenge and I wish him the best of luck.”

“I appreciate this opportunity and I’m thankful to the board for the confidence it has shown in me,” Sittason said. “This is a position I always wanted to pursue. I’m excited and committed to providing our rate payers with reliable services.”

Sittason’s career in finance and accounting has spanned 24 years. Prior to joining HU, he served five years in public accounting, two years with Wear, Howell and Strickland PC and nine years in private industry.

A Hartselle native, he is a 1983 graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He is a member of Hartselle First United Methodist Church, Hartselle Rotary Club, treasurer of Hartselle Camp Meeting Association and president of the Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame. In addition, he is entering his 23rd year as the radio voice of Hartselle Tiger football games.

He and his wife Daphne are parents of two daughters, Raley, a junior at the University of Alabama, and Madeline, a junior at Hartselle High School.
