Funeral for Mr. Jim Jarrett, 71, of Hartselle will be Tues., Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. at Penn Church of God with the Rev. Roger Ammons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Jarrett passed away Sat., Aug. 25, 2012. He was born Jan. 13, 1941, to J.L. Jarrett and Maggie Kathaleen Naylor Jarrett. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Jarrett of Hartselle; two daughters, Carla Jarrett of Hartselle and Jada George of Decatur; a brother, John Jarrett of Falkville; two sisters, Barbara Brown of Hartselle and Patricia Griffith of Danville; two grandchildren, Sydney Pinson and Ashlyn George; and a great-grandchild, Luke Pinson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Pope, Johnny Burgess, Felton Cooper, Michael Brown, Jerre Lett and Jeff Jarrett.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations go to the American Cancer Society.
