Third annual Depot Days Pageant slated

Applications are now being accepted for the Third Annual Depot Days Pageant on Sat., Sept. 8, at Sparkman Civic Center.

The pageant is open to girls from birth to 18 years old (through 12th grade) and boys ages birth to 8 years old. The deadline for entry is Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. Entry fee is $60 with $10 for photogenic entries.

“This is the first year for the boys pageant. We are looking for a dapper, young man with a lot of personality to be named Tiny Master and Little Master Depot Days,” said Angela Hale, pageant chair. “The Tiny Master will be chosen from birth to 5 years of age and a Little Master Depot Days 6-8 years old.”

There will be five girls chosen for the overall title of Miss Depot Days along with individual queens and her alternates in each category. The Depot Days Royalty will represent the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce at various events throughout the year and will be introduced on the day of the festival at the Main Show Tent.

Other awards to be given include best smile, prettiest hair, prettiest eyes and photogenic.

“We hope you will come out and support this year’s pageant,” Hale added.

Applications are available at selected Hartselle merchants, online at www.hartsellechamber.com, Face Book and at the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce. For questions, contact Hale at 256-466-4494.
