Funeral for Vincent Taylor, 58, of Hartselle will be Thur., Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. at First Bible Church in Decatur with the Rev. Steve Bateman officiating.

Visitation will be Aug. 1, from 5-8 p.m. a Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. The body will be at the church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.

A graveside service will be Fri., Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Scottsville, Ky.

Mr. Taylor died Mon., July 30, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1953, in Ashland, Ky., to John L. Taylor and Murna McClure Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a member of the First Bible Church in Decatur. He was a behavioral therapist for the Decatur City School System and on the staff at the enrichment center. He was an All-State Football player, tri-athlete and excelled in competitive sports.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Taylor of Hartselle; a brother, John Taylor and wife Elizabeth; two sisters, Mary Ellen Lamar and husband Charles and Jacquie Howard and husband Eugene, all of Owensboro, Ky.; three nephews, Charles Lamar III, Michael Lamar and Wesley Taylor; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to First Bible Church of Decatur Benevolent Fund.
