Funeral for Roy R. Irvin, 73, will be Fri., July 27, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shane Wheeler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in West Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Thurs., July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Irvin died Tue., July 24, 2012. He was born Jan. 13, 1939, in

Morgan County to Owen Walter Irvin and Vera Smallwood Irvin. He was

retired from Fruehauf Corporation as a roll operator after 29 years of

service. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dimple Edwards Irvin, of Somerville; a son, Roy Paul Irvin, of Washington; a brother, Herbert Irvin of Hawaii; two Sisters, Martha West of Somerville and Ruby Maples of Hartselle; a grandchild, Nicole Irvin; a great-grandchild, Isabella Irvin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randall Stinson, Craig Stinson, Jonathon Cryer, Soan

Brown, Tracey Melson and Bruce Cryer.
