Funeral for John E. Hughes, 94, of Hartselle will be Wed., July 11, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel and the Rev. Dan Hughes officiating.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., July 11 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hughes died Sun. July 8, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born May 5, 1918, in Franklin County to William Grady Hughes and Dona Hester Hughes. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Jim Hughes and wife Charlotte of Hartselle and John Hughes of Yerevan, Armenia; a daughter, Trish Klein of Lake Oconee, Ga.; two brothers, Bill Hughes of Wickliffe, Ohio and Charles Royce Hughes of Westlake, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Easter of Harding, Colo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
