Man charged with assaulting his wife

A 61-year-old Cullman County man was arrested on arrest warrants accusing him of beating his wife at their home in Falkville last month.

On June 12, Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies received complaints claiming that Donnie Roberts, 61, had forcibly assaulted and caused severe internal injuries to his wife, Jennifer Aldridge Roberts on June 7 at their Falkville, home.
According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, Donnie Roberts used his hand during the assault to inflict the injuries.
The suspect was arrested July 3 by Morgan County Investigators and a Cullman County Sheriff’s deputy at 111 County Road 1202 in Cullman County and charged with domestic violence in the second degree, a Class B felony.
The suspect remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
