Wedding season recipes
Now that wedding season is upon us, this is a good punch recipe to serve at such an event.
Wedding punch
2 large cans pineapple juice
2 large cans orange juice
1 qt.. ginger ale
Combine juices and ginger ale. Yields 50 servings.
Pineapple salad
2 pkgs. orange gelatin
2 cups hot water
1 cup pineapple juice
1 can crushed pineapple
Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add juice and pineapple. Refrigerate until firm.
Fruit salad
1 large can fruit cocktail
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup sour cream
Combine all ingredients, adding enough sour cream to blend. Chill.
Tomatoes and rice
1 cup brown rice
1 can Italian tomatoes
Cook rice according to the directions, drain and blend in tomatoes.
Sparkling cooler
1 bottle ginger ale
1 bottle apple juice
Blend ingredients. Chill.
Cooking tip: To double a recipe, never add more to the ingredients to double it, instead, make two recipes and add it to the first recipe.
Company cake
1 loaf size angel food cake
1 to 2 cups apple sauce
1 cup cool whip
Blend apple sauce with cool whip. Spread on cake.
Blueberry float
1 qt. blueberry juice
1 cup cool whip
Blend juice with cool whip until it is melted. Serve in mugs or glasses.
