Hartselle Camp Meeting continues through Friday

The 113th encampment at Hartselle’s historic tabernacle grounds will continue through Fri. June 22, with services at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day.

Speakers for the remaining services will be John Kearns, senior pastor at Christ Harbor United Methodist Church in Northport, Phil Waldrep, conference director, author and evangelist of Decatur, Robert Sparkman, pastor of Hartselle First United Methodist Church and Rob Cain, senior pastor of The Lighthouse in Tuscaloosa and president of Hartselle Camp Meeting Association.

Kearns will be in the pulpit for today’ evening service as well as Thursday’s morning service. Waldrep will preach Thursday evening, Sparkman will be Friday morning’s speaker and Cain will speak at the final service Friday evening.

Children’s and youth activities will continue through Friday.

“We had good crowds over the weekend, Cain said on Monday, “and the Father’s Day evening service on Sunday was super special with Junior Hill as our speaker. While it’s been hot outside, the temperature in the tabernacle has not been bothersome. The big shade trees outside and the circulating fans overhead have kept us comfortable.

“We look forward to the remainder of the week and the opportunity to bring a rich spiritual blessing to everyone who comes,” he added.
