Alford, Meadows to wed in July

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Alford of Hohenwald, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Alford, to Trai Meadows, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meadows of Hartselle.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ishmael Bunch of Hohenwald, Tenn., and Mrs. Ruth Alford and the late Mr. Thurston Alford of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

She is a 2003 graduate of Lewis County High School, earned a bachelor’s of business degree from Middle Tennessee State University and an associate of science degree in nursing from Columbia State Community College. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Huntsville Hospital.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Parr of Hartselle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Meadows of Decatur. He is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and earned a bachelor of business degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville, where he was also a member of the baseball team. He is employed with Parr Contracting and is the West Point High School baseball coach in Cullman County.

The wedding is scheduled for 5 p.m. on July 7, 2012, at Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald, Tenn. A reception will immediately follow at the historic Strand Theatre.
