Two arrested in meth lab bust
Two Morgan County residents were arrested following a methamphetamine lab bust at 114 Stack Yard Road in Falkville.
Authorities charged 39-year-old Jamie Allen Brown of 138 Robinson Road in the Somerville area with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance first degree. He is in jail under a $100,000 bond.
Kayla Ann Peebles, 21, of 558 County Road 399 in Trinity was charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance first degree. Her bond was set at $15,000.
Sheriff’s deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Brown in Falkville when they detected odorous materials associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
A safety perimeter was set up around the dwelling until narcotics agents arrived.A search warrant was executed on the dwelling and agents discovered a one-pot met lab, a large quantity of methamphetamine, loaded hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia.
Oden Ridge volunteer fire assisted with the decontamination process of the suspects prior to being transported to the county jail.
