Hartselle High School’s indoor track team finished seventh in the Class 5A division of the State Indoor Track Meet in Birmingham on Saturday.

Hunter Grantland led the team with a second place finish in the 60-meter dash. Trevor Sharpley finished third in the triple jump, seventh in the high jump and eighth in the long jump and Jordan Frazier came in fourth in the 60-meter hurdles. The 800-meter relay team finished seventh.

“It was a good way to get started,” said head track coach Kenneth Lopez. “We were late getting the season started because we wanted to give them a break in December. “I was pleased with the way they performed

Lopez said the track team would begin competing outdoors next month.
