Funeral for Randy Bailes, 60, of Decatur, will be Thur., Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Compton and the Rev. Randy Berry officiating.

Visitation will be Wed., Jan. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.

Mr. Bailes died Mon., Jan. 23, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 20, 1951, in Ardmore to Clayton Bailes and Gayla Culps Bailes. He graduated from Ardmore High School and attended Martin College. He worked for BP as a quality assurance technician and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Bailes of Decatur; a stepson, Brandon Ray Cooper of Houston, Texas; a stepdaughter, Kim Messlein of Dickenson, Texas; and a grandson, Teddy Messlein of Dickenson, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Pierre Tourney Jr., Ray Wales, Paul Goehler, Terry Wales, David Gillespie and Tony Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Spillers, Brian Compton and Coley Compton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Clearview Cancer Institute at 3601 CCI, Huntsville, AL 35805.
