Funeral for Bernice Nelson Satterfield, 85, of Somerville was Mon., Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Burns officiating.

Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Satterfield died Fri., Jan. 20, 2012, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1926, in Morgan County to Jim Nelson and Altie Mae Echols Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Otto “Buddy” Satterfield; two brothers; Leroy Nelson and Leon Nelson; and a sister, Elnora Wilhoite.

She is survived by a son, H.M. Satterfield and wife Janet; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Scott and husband James; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Nelson, Brian Nelson, Terry Nelson, Scott Nelson, Randy Nelson and Charlie Tudor.
