Funeral for Shirley “Kay” Wear, 75, of Hartselle will be Fri., Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Wear died Wed., Jan. 18, 2012, at her residence. She was born Feb. 11,1936, in Jefferson County to George Samuel Haffner Jr. and Rosalie Rebecca Miller Haffner. She was an adorned wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend, and a person who never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband, Donald Arvin Wear of Hartselle; two daughters, Connie Sue Wear Holcomb of Decatur and Donna Kay Wear of Cleveland; a sister, Rebecca Haffner Cook of Trussville’ two sons-in-law, Benjamin Franklin Hughes of Cleveland and Stephen Douglas Holcomb of Decatur; and two surviving grandchildren, Kellie Suzanne Holcomb and Joanna Leigh Holcomb.
