Somerville Assembly begins Bible study on Wednesdays

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday season. Now that all of the rushing and shopping are over, things will settle down for another year.

Very special love and happy birthday wishes go out to my granddaughter, Jaden Moore. She celebrated her 7th birthday on New Year’s Eve.

My family enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at the home of my daughter Jennifer and Tommy Hayes and children, Julie Daugette and Jeannie, Jacob and Jaden Moore. Also attending were Jacob and Ashley Daugette, Lewis ands Jayla Daugette and Taylor Dickerson. Unfortunately, J.J. had to work at Decatur Fire and Rescue. However, I cooked Christmas breakfast at my home and had all of my children and grandchildren present.

A prayer service was held at Somerville Assembly on Christmas night.

Deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mary Asherbranner who passed away on Christmas Day. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Jeannie and Jacob Moore spent Christmas Day with her dad, James Moore. Jaden Moore spent Christmas night and Monday night with her dad, Walker Staggs.

Prayers go out for Norma Dempsey who was admitted to Parkway Medical Center in Decatur on Christmas Day and Donna Orr who was taken to the emergency room on Christmas Eve. She was treated and released.

Members of Somerville Assembly enjoyed attending New Year’s Eve services at Soul Harbor Baptist Church.

Jayla Ricks spent Friday night with her friend, Jayla Daugette.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Wanda Taylor. Vickey Daugette treated her to lunch from Captain D’s.

Jacob and Ashley Daugette enjoyed being dinner guests and watching a movie at the home of Jack and Tammy Kent recently.

The Wray family enjoyed being dinner guests at the home of James and Ann Wray. Thirty-nine family members attended. Among them were Frank and Martha Gravatt, Van and Joan Wray, Renea Gravatt and Gertrude Wray.

Prayers and get well wishes go out to Kevin Morrow. He had a work-related accident and is recovering at home.

Katie Cook enjoying performing at the Outback Bowl Game with Priceville High School’s marching band. She is a member of the colorguard.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Glenn Free.

Somerville Assembly is starting Bible study on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Dalton Thompson who celebrated his 18th birthday recently.
