Poinsettias placed in memory of loved ones

For all of the procrastinators who have put off your Christmas shopping, you can’t put it off much longer. Christmas is just five days away so time is running out to get that special gift for that special someone.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Dewell Brown Jr. and Wayne Green.

On Sunday morning the sanctuary of New Center Baptist Church was beautifully decorated with poinsettias, which were placed in memory and honor of family and friends.

Poinsettias were placed by Randy and Tammy Whitten in memory of Glenn and Edith Maples and the Rev. Olan Whitten; the parents of Clyde and Dot Ledlow; by Bob and Barbara Ash in memory of Jerri Ash; by Bob and Barbara Ash in memory of Jerri Ash and Bobby Hanners; by Wayne and Janessa Brown in memory of Flora Goins; by Elizabeth Blankenship in memory of Mike Blankenship; by C.L. Moore in memory of Hilda Singleton and other members of the Maples and Blankenship families; by Gendell Terry, Greg and Robin, in memory Rayburn Terry;

Others were placed in honor as follows: By Tammy and Darryl Gulley in honor of their parents; by Chadwick and Gail Day in honor of John Wesley Motes; by Randy and Tammy Whiten in honor of Frances Segars Whitten; by Harold and Karen Plemons in honor of Bro. Ben and Paula Barnes and children; and by Dale and Brenda McMinemon in honor of Erline Ballew.

On Tuesday Morning, Fred and Evelyn Motes, Mike and Kaye Widener and Javon Alldredge enjoyed breakfast with Cecil and Jo Bomar in their home. Afterwards, the women enjoyed Christmas shopping in Cullman.

Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Milton and Joann Montgomery on Dec. 28.
