Funeral for “Lucky” Glen Burnside, 66, will be Thur., Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Brown officiating.

Visitation will be Wed., Dec. 21, 2011, from 6 to 8 p. m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Burnside died Tues., Dec. 20, 2011, at UAB Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Jefferson County to Glen Arthur Burnside Sr. and Nancy Jane Turner Burnside. He was retired from Willoughby Roofing and was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Burnside of Falkville; a son, Paul Burnside and wife Sharri of Moulton; two sisters, Debbie Gurganus and husband Gerald of Falkville and Regina Lynn Patterson and husband David of Georgia; two surviving grandchildren, Joshua Burnside and wife Whitney and Jacob Burnside; a brother-in-law, Roy Gurganus and wife Pat of Rossville, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Margie O’Rourke of Pensacola, Fla.; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Leslie Taylor, Wayne Kelso, Gene Kelly, Vernon Hood, Jason Gurganus and Joe Pilgrim.
