Funeral for Bobby Sandlin “Bob” Woodruff, 77, will be Thur., Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Ritch Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., Dec.7, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Woodruff died Mon., Dec. 5, 2011 at his residence. He was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Morgan County to Willie Marvin “Bill” Woodruff and Mary Parker Woodruff. He was a graduate of The University of Alabama in civil engineering and land surveying. He served in the U.S. Geodetic Survey Department in the Navy, as a lieutenant junior grade during the Cuban Crisis. He was chief engineer at G.W. Jones & Sons designing the airport in Research Park. He retired as county engineer for Morgan County. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Woodruff.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cope Woodruff of Hartselle; two sons, George Ponds Kobler and wife Criss and Jonathan “W.P.” Kobler and wife Jana, all of Huntsville; a sister, Betty Cameron of Virginia; and five grandchildren, Arianne, Magnolia, Mallory, Samantha and Drake.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
