Funeral for Katherine Cloer McCollum, 72, of Hartselle will be Fri., Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating.

Visitation will be Fri., Oct. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home

Burial will be in Union Hill cemetery.

Ms. McCollum died Wed., Oct. 12, 2011, at Falkville Heath Care Center. She was horn July 8, 1939, in Morgan County to Lovick Pearson Cloer and Lura James Cloer. She was retired from the Alabama Forest Commission as a forest fire lookout. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Hasselburg and husband Randy of Indianapolis, Ind., and Debbie Leighton of Newport, Tenn.; a brother, Hoyt Cloer and wife Geraldine of Falkville; a sister, Geraldine Cloer Holmes and husband Weandell of Eva; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Weandell Holmes, Stanley Stringer, Kenneth Murphree, Randy Hasselburg, Scott Cloer and Clint Murphree.
