Funeral for Julia E. “Fox” Byford, 90, of Hartselle was Wed., Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Stacy Tourney and Earl Holt officiating.

Burial was in Shoal Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Byford died Mon., Oct. 3, 2011, at Crestwood Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1921, to Joe Wheeler Bean and Mary Weona Tapscott Bean. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest Byford.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Byford and wife Adeline of Danville and Joe Byford and wife Ramona of Hartselle; two daughters, Rubye Dobbs and husband James of Hartselle and Libby Mason and husband Ronnie of Titusville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
