Youth at Somerville Assembly to hold yard sale Saturday, Oct. 1

The weather was great last week. Friday was the first day of fall. That means winter and Christmas are just around the corner. Burr!

Frontier Days at Eva was a great success. Those who attended from the Somerville area had a great time.

Prayers and much love go out to Vernon White who was transferred from Huntsville Hospital to a hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Saturday night. He is scheduled to undergo extensive heart surgery there.

Congratulations to Jack Kemp and Tommy Adamson who will be married in the near future.

A yard sale will be held by the youth of Somerville Assembly on Sat., Oct. 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Hwy 67 in Somerville. Everyone is encouraged to come shop for special bargains. Afterwards, they will have a fun-filled afternoon with a cookout and games at the church, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Prayers go out for Dennis Free who was released from Huntsville Hospital recently, our servicemen and servicewomen, fire fighters and police officers, Vernon White, Angie Holmes, Wanda Taylor, Harold Ball, B.J. Matthews, Charles Free and the leaders of our country.

Everyone is invited to attend homecoming services on Sunday at Soul Harbor Baptist Church. Bro. Van Wray will bring the morning message, a lunch will be served at noon and a gospel singing will be held in the afternoon.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Audreana Thomas on Oct. 2.

A gospel singing will be held at Somerville Assembly on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. Guest singers will be 3-N-1. Pastor Jacob Daugette and congregation invite everyone to attend.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to Rachael Westmoreland.

Jayla Daugette enjoyed spending Saturday with her dad, J.J. Daugette. He took her shopping and to eat out for her 10th birthday. They had a wonderful father-daughter day.

Pastor Jacob Daugette visited Shane Rice at Huntsville Hospital on Monday and Wednesday nights. He also visited Dennis “Dinky” Free at Decatur General Hospital on Wednesday night.

The youth of Somerville Assembly enjoyed lunch at the home of Pastor Jacob and Ashley Daugette on Saturday, They also enjoyed watching the Alabama vs. Arkansas football game.

The youth group at Somerville Assembly enjoyed ice cream at Jack’s on Sunday night after worship services. They wished Jayla Daugette a happy birthday.

We wish for Scott and Natashia Free a safe and enjoyable trip to Oklahoma this week.

A brush arbor meeting will be held at the home of Equator Back on Oct. 6, 7 and 8. Everyone is welcome.

Jayla Daugette enjoyed spending Sunday night with her cousins, Julie Daugette and Jeannie Moore.

Mary Grace Asherbran-ner and Patricia visited Vernon White at Huntsville Hospital Saturday afternoon.

Cotaco’s football homecoming was held Tuesday night, with the Indians playing the Eva Eagles.
