Hartselle wins meets in swim league

In North Alabama High School Swim League action Wednesday night, Lee, Madison County, and Hartselle High Schools kicked off the 2011 swim season with a Double Dual Swim Meet at Huntsville’s Brahan Springs Natatorium.

In girls action, Hartselle beat both Madison County (58-18) and Lee (60-2). Madison County girls topped the Lee girls (56-4). double winners in the girls were Jordan Bruner in the 100-yard Individual Medley and the 50-yard Fly; and Jess Horton in the 50-yard Free and the 200-yard Free.

In boys action, Hartselle beat both Madison County (60-7) and Lee (60-8). Lee boys topped the Madison County boys (37-24). Triple Winner Alec Holloway (100-yard Individual Medley, 50-yard Free, and 50-yard Back) and Double Winner Michael Powell (50-yard Fly and 50-yard Breast) had a lot to celebrate.
