Happy birthday wishes to Raven Chandler.
Fall Break is Nov. 22-26. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Congratulations to Cole Barkley and Tommie Kennedy, October Students of the Month, selected from the following group of nominees:
Ryan School’s October 2010 Students of the Month nominees:
Arubie Flatt, kindergarten; Sarah Woodard, first grade; Nick Lamons, second grade; Carissa Bass, third grade; Madison Grimes, fourth grade; Shaun Brown, fifth grade; Jasmine Blocker, sixth grade; Libby Pannell, seventh grade, and Taz Guzman, eighth grade.
We are proud of all the nominees and encourage all students to keep up the good work.
We kicked off our Alabama vs. Auburn Penny Drive this week. It will run through the whole month and will end the week before we get out for Christmas. The class that collects the most change will win a surprise like an ice cream or Popsicle party.
A traditional Thanksgiv-ing meal will be served tomorrow. You are cordially invited to join us for the meal. The cost is $3.50 per plate and please note, due to cost of carry- out packages, no carryout orders will be available.
The kids will love having you eat with them, and we look forward to seeing you.
A Can-A-Thon is being sponsored by Mrs. Ransom and the Ryan Junior High School Beta Club.
Can-A-Thon is a canned food drive that provides food to local agencies in Morgan County to help people in our community. WAFF48 will collect the cans at the Decatur Mall in December, so bring some canned food items to your homeroom teacher before Dec. 1.
The homeroom with the most cans donated will win a treat!
As you begin planning your holiday menus and goodies, please be sure to save and send your Campbell’s soup labels and box tops for education. They really add up and help the school.
