Funeral for Alice Ryan Keyes was Sat., Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Revs. Ralph McCollum and Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial was in Russell Cemetery in Pines Community, Somerville.
Mrs. Keyes died Wed., Oct. 27, 2010, at Windsor House Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Morgan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Keyes Sr.; a son, Charles Keyes Jr.; and three brothers, Truman, Talmadge and Tasker Leo Ryan.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Keyes of Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Bette Kelso-Clough and husband William ‘Bill’ of Somerville; a son, David Keyes and wife Barbra of Lancing, Tenn; four sisters, Jessie Eddy of Gardendale, Catherine Johnson of Huntsville, Faye Williams of Somerville and JoNelle Taylor of Crawfordville, Ga.; a brother, Huie Ryan of Cullman; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Van Eddy, Tommy Johnson, Charles Keyes III, Larry Ryan, Alan Williams, Donald Williams and Glenn Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ala. Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 240009, Montgomery, AL 35124.
