Wreck injures two

No serious injuries reported in dramatic accident

Two persons were injured and transported to Decatur General Hospital Friday morning following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Sparkman and Chestnut Street.
Joe Morgan of Hartselle was injured when the van he was driving overturned. After being removed with the aid of Hartselle firefighters, he was transported to Decatur General Hospital by County EMS. His two passengers, Eula Morgan and Debra Tanksley, both of Hartselle, were also injured and one was treated and released at Decatur General.
Michael Price of Decatur, the driver of the other vehicle, a Suburban, was not injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. as Price was driving east on Chestnut and Morgan was driving south on Sparkman.
Traffic was detoured around the wreck site for about an hour.
