Funeral for Louis G. Kirby, 82, of Decatur was Sunday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with Dr. Jackie Kay officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Kirby died Fri., Sept. 17, 2010, at Athens Convalescent Center. He was born April 28, 1928, in Morgan County to Fletcher Parris Kirby and Geneva McDonald Kirby. He was a member of Central Park Baptist Church and a supervisor at Wolverine Tube in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hampton Kirby; two sons, Sam Kirby of Killen and Randy Kirby of Decatur; two brothers, Troy Kirby of Russellville and Billy Kirby of Hartselle; two sisters, Noma Lee Lawrence of Massey and Jean Kirby of Decatur; five grandchildren, Amanda Roberson, Nick Kirby, Laura Dean, Nikki Wynn and Kathryn Boschert; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Nick Kirby, Darren Roberson, John Wynn, Fred Sturgeon, Scott Hill and David Kirby.
