Local dancer tapping out cancer

The second annual Tapping Out Childhood Cancer event is planned for Sept. 26 from 2-5 p.m. at Birmingham’s Gabrella Manor. The event is being organized by 10-year-old Morgan County resident, dancer and cancer survivor, Alex Swader.
The event will include two showcases featuring a host of talented amateur and professional dancers representing various genres of dance.
There will be inflatables, food, games, clowns, face-painters, and JAMM Entertain-ment will provide music for general dancing.
Tickets are $20 per person or $60 for family (two adults and up to three children).
Tickets can be purchased by mail at 6400 Swann Rd. Mt. Olive,  35117, or at Gabrella Manor each Thursday between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. or at the door.  One-hundred percent of all ticket sales goes to Children’s Hospital of Alabama for childhood cancer research.  Please make all checks payable to Children’s Hospital with Dancers Fighting Cancer in the memo line.
The hospital will mail receipts for tax purposes after the event.
