Class planned for those interested in learning about Habitat home

Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County will conduct an application class Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Turner Surles Community Resource Center at 702 Sycamore St. in Decatur.
This session is for persons interested in applying for the Habitat program.

There are three basic requirements in order to qualify. Apppicants:  must:
• Have a housing need (due to poor conditions, overcrowding, unsafe neighborhood, etc.).
• Have a source of stable income and meet income requirements.
• Be willing to volunteer on a construction site and at the Habitat ReStore, as well as participate in homeowner education classes.
Anyone interested in applying should call the Habitat office at 256-340-9609 to pre-qualify for the meeting.
