Falkville man charged in thefts

By Staff
A Falkville man has been charged with theft in connection with two separate incidents.
Wesley David Aldridge, 21, is suspected of stealing a truck, an ATV and a trailer in February.
The first incident was Feb. 1 when a 1990 Ford F-150 was stolen from a shop on Eva Road where it had been left for repairs. The vehicle, valued at some $1,200, was recovered on Mill Creek Road later that night. Sheriff’s Department officials believe the stolen truck may have been part of a mud riding event earlier that day.
On Feb. 9, the theft of a 2006 Honda TRX 350 and a trailer were reported stolen from a location on Lee Road in Hartselle. Both the ATV and the trailer were later recovered by sheriff’s deputies. The two were valued at $3,600.
Aldridge was arrested April 9 at a home on Culver Road in Falkville and is charged with two counts of first degree theft. He was also charged with violating probation. He is being held on $11,500 bond.
