Burleson thanks Partners

By By Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
Partners-In-Education for schools throughout Morgan County were honored at a breakfast meeting hosted by F.E. Burleson Elementary School and presented by the Sexton Foundation last week. The event was conducted in the school cafeteria and attended by more than 100 industry and business representatives and leaders from Hartselle, Morgan County and Decatur school systems.
Partners were recognized individually according to the schools they sponsor and thanked for the many ways they provide financial as well as volunteer support.
Wachovia marketing president Darris Frost added, “We’re fortunate to be able to work with Burleson Elementary in Hartselle, Walter Jackson in Decatur and West Morgan in the county. We get more out of it than the teachers do.”
The pre-breakfast program included a welcome by Kaye Meeks, vice chair of the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, invocation by Bob Francis, remarks from Bob Jaques, Partners-In-Education representative for Hartselle Areas Chamber of Commerce and brief remarks by superintendents of the county’s three school systems.
Following a breakfast buffet, partnership testimonials were given by Wayne Martin of 3M, Charlie Vines of Vulcan Materials and Todd Bennich of Superior Bank.
