Paulos, Martin exchange vows
Sarah Michelle Paulos of Hartselle and John Andrew Martin of Centreville were wed May 17, 2008, at Caribe Resort in Orange Beach.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Christy Paulos of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Chuck and Debbie Martin of Centreville.
Ellis Wayand officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The altar was a canopy of tropical flowers on the deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero chiffon spaghetti strap white dress with Swarovski crystals cascading down the front.
She carried a bouquet of dendrobium orchids, Casablanca lilies, pink stargazer lilies and alstromeria lilies.
Rachel Mistrot of Hartselle was matron of honor. Maid of honor was Savannah Burch of Priceville. Bridesmaids were Rita Yates of Birmingham, Danielle Williams of Hartselle, Kellie Hicks of Deer Park, Tex. and Laura Noah of Centreville.
They wore blue chiffon dresses with beading down the front.
They carried orange, pink and yellow Asiatic lilies and alstromeria lilies with tropical greenery.
Best man was Micah Hardwick of Dothan. Groomsmen were Colin Choat of Hoover, Lee Lowery of Centreville, Steven Paulos of Hartselle and Sean Noah of Montevallo.
Music was provided in the ceremony by Laura Noah playing Marimba and Kaiso! A Calypso band will play at the reception.
The reception was held poolside at the Caribe Resort in Orange Beach.
The bride’s table was highlighted by a white four-layer strawberry and buttercream cake decorated with the couple’s initials and tropical flowers.
The groom’s table was decorated with three cheesecakes in New York, Bailey’s and white chocolate flavors. One was decorated with music notes, one with the University of Alabama logo and one with raspberry topping.
The reception was catered by Cliff Stapleton.
The silver signing tray was attended by Elizabeth Paulos and Brooke Safieh, cousins of the bride.
After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Montgomery.

The bride is a graduate of Hartselle High School. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Alabama in May.
The groom is a graduate of Bibb County High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in 2008.
