Funeral for Pauline Childs, 85, of Decatur was Saturday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Barton officiating.
Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Childs died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at her residence. She was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Morgan County to Frank Llewellyn Marlow and Nannie Sonie Graham Marlow. She was a loving mother of eight children, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Baptist and was dedicated to God and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buel Robert Childs; a son, Robert Earl Childs; two daughters, Helen Marie Childs and Doris Lee Jackson; and a brother, Audie Austin Marlow.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby Ray Childs of North Carolina, Paul Marlow Childs of Decatur and Freddie Llewellyn Childs of Eva; two daughters, Sharon Ann Binkley of Decatur and Geraldine Jackson of Hartselle; two sisters, Marveline Van Loon of Hammond, Ind. and Carolyn Sue Glenn of Danville; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Parky Campbell, Rodney Childs, Ada Glover, Shayne Campbell, Justin Baker, Joshua Childs, Mark Miller and Jeffrey Glenn.
