Funeral for Willard Hadley, 78, of Crane Hill was Thursday, Aug. 29, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ryan Childers officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Hadley died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Randolph County to Joseph D. Hadley and Jessie Lee Caver Hadley. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was retired from Wolverine Tube and General Electric. He loved Smith Lake and was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Maelin Hadley of Crane Hill; two daughters, Jill King and husband Bruce of Hartselle and Cindy Harris and husband Thomas of Montgomery; five stepsons, Steve Couey of Tallassee, Tony Couey of Hartselle, Walt Merriman and wife Kathy of Eva, Brian Merriman and wife Dedra of Hartselle and Toney Merriman and wife Karen of Cullman; three stepdaughters, Sandra Jones and husband Craig and Sally McIntyre and husband Bryan, both of Falkville and Shea Tolbert and husband Chris of Cullman; two sisters, Sarah Gaines and Eveleth Bagwell, both of Decatur; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Pat Powell, Glenn Marlar, Larry Marlar, Frankie Knoblock, Steve Springer and James Yearwood.
