Almon McCoy ‘Mike’ Brown

Funeral for Almon McCoy “Mike” Brown, 81, of Priceville was Monday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Burns and Bro. Jack Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Upton’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Morgan County to Robert E. Brown and Edna R. Aldridge Brown. He was a member of Rural Grove Baptist Church, owner of Brown’s Pest Control and a 32nd degree Mason He was also an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Austin Brown, Lowell Brown and Hudson Brown, a sister, Virginia Fisher and a daughter, Bethany Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Vadean Brown of Priceville; two sons, Randall Brown of Town Creek and Alvis Brown of Killen; three daughters, Judy Welch of Decatur, Julie Houston of Cherokee and Sabrina Terry of Priceville; a foster son, Keith Gargis of Somerville; three sisters, Adell Terrell and Grace Jones, both of Danville, and Marie Standridge of Kingston, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Mitch Elswick, Barry Curbow, David Farris, Keith Gargis, Danny Fisher and Darrell Jones.
