Funeral for Carol Jean Franklin, 76, of Danville was Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Charlie Brown officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery
Mrs. Franklin died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at her residence. She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Illinois to William Ashley and Mabel Haney Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farrish D. Franklin I.
She is survived by a son, Farrish D. Franklin II of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter, Shirley Jo Lewis of Danville; four brothers, William “Bill” Ashley, Ronnie Ashley and Larry Ashley, all of Effingham, Ill. and Terry Joe Ashley of Baraboo, Wisc.; three sisters, Shirley Fowler of Palm Bay, Fla., Joyce Shull of Matton, Ill. and MiMi Hess of Easley, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Cameron K. Lewis, Jennifer Lewis and Teri Jo Lewis.
Nephews were pallbearers.
