Arby’s opening Hwy. 31 location

By By Leada Gore, Hartselle Enquirer
Fans of the beef and cheddar take heart - Arby’s is opening in Hartselle.
Hartselle’s Planning Commission has approved a site plan for the new fast-food restaurant. It will be located on Highway 31 on a portion of the property once occupied by Pineview Hospital. The property was owned by William Dinsmore.
Arby’s is best known for its roast beef sandwiches and offers salads, wraps and desserts.
Its arrival in Hartselle is the culmination of two years of work by city officials.
The mayor and chamber officials traveled to Las Vegas the last two years to attend the annual convention of restaurants, retail stores and developers.
The first Arby’s opened in Ohio in 1964. Now based in Atlanta, there are more than 3,500 Arby’s franchises throughout the US.
Arby’s opening isn’t the only business news the city is celebrating. Construction is continuing on the new Hartselle Lowe’s, also on Highway 31. The home-improvement store has scheduled its grand opening for Oct. 1.
