Fundraiser benefits Lacey’s Spring boy

A fundraiser for a Lacey’s Spring boy is planned for June 7 by the Tennessee River Coon Hunters Association.
The association holds a fundraiser every year. This year’s proceeds will go towards Mason Thomas, 10. Thomas has had 19 surgeries for various diseases and is getting ready for radiation treatments in Birmingham.
Events will start at 10 a.m. with a horse and wagon ride, followed by a meat shoot at 10:15 a.m. A horseshoe tournament will begin at 12:30 p.m. Barbeque chicken plates will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. A hillbilly golf tournament will start at 4 p.m. and country music by Cotaco Creek will start at 6 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m., there will be an auction of cakes and pies.
The event will take place on Fields Road. Turn west off Highway 231 in front of Cajun Caf/, go one and a half miles. The club is on the right.
