Funeral for Elizabeth F. Burns, 81, of Decatur will be Thursday (today), May 8, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Redfearn officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns died Monday, May 5, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 18, 1926, in Cullman County to Roxie Smith and Bannie Hornsby Smith. She was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Burns and a daughter, Martha Burrows.
She is survived by a son, David L. Burns of Hartselle; a daughter, Carolyn Sims of Decatur; two brothers, J.D. Smith and James Smith, both of Cullman; a sister, Nellie McGriff of Montgomery; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
