Roy Almon Gullion

A graveside service for Roy Almon Gullion, 86, of Falkville was Monday, Mar. 3, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with the Revs. Roger Ammons and Nathan Childers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gullion died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born May 4, 1921, in Morgan County to Albert Lee Gullion and Eula Lee Denton Gullion. He was preceded in death by the late Lillian Mayfield Gullion, his wife of 66 years; two daughters, Ruby Elizabeth Gullion and Geraldean Gullion; a son, David Gullion; three brothers, Garland, Gordon and Grady Gullion; a sister, Mildred Wigginton; a granddaughter, Maygan Lacy. He was retired from Baker Wood Reels and owned and operated Gullion’s Grocery. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during World War II.
He is survived by three sons, Jerry Gullion, Larry Gullion and Ronald Gullion, all of Hartselle; a daughter, Carol Gullion Wilbanks of Hartselle; a brother, Floyd Gullion of New York; a sister, Mary Riendeau of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and a son-in-law.
Cody Wilbanks, a grandson, was an honorary pallbearer.
