Funeral for Bettye S. Chaffin, 73, of Decatur will be Thursday (today) Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Burns officiating.
Burial will be in Bishop Family Cemetery in Decatur.
Mrs. Chaffin died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at her residence. She was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Morgan County to Joel Sandlin and Lily Mae Fletcher Sandlin.
She is survived by a son, Warren F. Mink of Trinity; a daughter, Elizabeth F. Assel of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, James K. Sandlin of Decatur; two sisters, Carole Warnick of Marion and Patricia Stewart of Lewisburg, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
