Funeral for Paul Garrison, 65, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. at Tunsel Road Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph Henderson and Jerry Strickland officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Cullman Co.
Mr. Garrison died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at his residence. He was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Morgan County to Thomas Melvin Garrison and Nellie Ledlow Garrison. He was a charter member and song leader of Tunsel Road Baptist Church. He was an avid guitar player and loved bluegrass gospel music and enjoyed camping and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hershel Harris and Louie Garrison; and a sister, Janice Price.
He is survived by his wife, Willadean Grissom Garrison of Hartselle; two sons, Tim Garrison and wife Patty Jo of Hartselle and Alan Garrison of Odenville; a brother, Melvin Garrison of Moulton; three sisters, Diane Sybert, Hazel Holmes and Juanita Owens, all of Hartselle; a granddaughter, BethAnne Garrison; and a grandson, Wade Garrison; and a special cousin, Carol Garrison Montgomery.
Pallbearers were Shannon Garrison, Kris Owens, Josh Owens, Dennis Harris, Bruce Price, Henry Horton, Tag Garrison and Doug Harris.
Donations may be made to Hospice of The Valley, Decatur, AL.
