Funeral for Charles James Smith, 67, of Danville was Friday, Sept. 7, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Agee officiating.
Burial was in Cook Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at his residence. He was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Morgan County to Marion Fletcher Smith and Berty Lee Morris Smith. He retired from 3M Co. after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Miller Smith of Danville; two sons, Charles James Smith Jr. and wife Jan and Chris Smith and wife Kim, all of Falkville; a daughter, Terrie Smith Alexander of Cullman; a brother, Stanley Smith and wife Rachel of Falkville; a sister, Linda Makemson and husband Tommy of Daphne; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dustin Smith, David Smith, Nathanael West, Paul Grasly, Chris Peterson, Jimmy Smith and Jordan Smith.
