Belles grateful for support
Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals and businesses for their support of the Dixie Belles All-Star team this year.
These girls worked hard and spent their entire summer practicing and playing ball to represent Hartselle in the district, state and world series.
Their accomplishments on the ball field could not have been possible without the support of our Park and Recreation Department, especially Frank Miller and Chuck Yates, our Hartselle Dixie officers, parents and fans and the many people that donated money to offset expenses.
A special thank-you to Pepsi Cola in Decatur for their donation of water and drinks and to State Senator Arthur Orr for securing our state flags for the world series. We were very proud to represent Hartselle and Alabama for the second year in Belles!
