Funeral for Gladys Lindley Sanford, 92, of Falkville was Tuesday, June 5, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Tucker officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanford died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1914, in Winston County to Ode Jones and Jane Evans Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. She was baptized in a creek by Bro. Jarrett of the Penn Church of God. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Bobby Lindley, a daughter, Dorothy Tomlin, three brothers, Jim, Jeb and Dee Jones and two sisters, Tootsie Gaines and Mammie Holmes.
She is survived by five sons, Billy Lindley, Henry Lindley and Joe Lindley, all of Falkville, O.D. Lindley of Cullman and Marshall Lindley of Danville; a daughter, Louise Fricks of Falkville; a brother, Gerald Jones of Decatur; two sisters, Pernie Sparks of Falkville and Vera Nell Johnson of Hartselle; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great grandsons.
