Fuqua wins BTC javelin throw

Hartselle's Jim Fuqua won the masters javelin competition at the Birmingham Track Club Track and Field Classic at Hoover High School last weekend. Fuqua threw the javelin 175-feet, 6 inches, good enough for first place in tough throwing conditions including a strong headwind and high humidity. He beat out nine other competitors from four different states in the open competition.
