A memorial service for Wade Mattson, 57, of Hartselle was Tuesday, May 22, at 1 p.m. at New Covenant Church.
Burial was Wed., May 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Elmwood Chapel directing.
Mr. Mattson died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at The University Hospital in Birmingham following treatment for a stroke. He was born Nov. 1, 1949, in Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Mattson and Elizabeth (Libby) M. Mattson and a sister, Roberta Elizabeth Mattson.
He is survived by a sister, Natalie M. Williams and husband Gordon of LaGrange, Calif.; a brother, Charles E. Mattson and wife Glenda of Columbia, Tenn; three nieces; and a nephew.
Honorary pallbearers were residents and staff of Volunteers of America in Hartselle.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Volunteers of North Alabama in Huntsville will be appreciated .
