Enquirer named one of state’s top weeklies

The Hartselle Enquirer was named one of the top large weekly newspapers in the state this week in the Alabama Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. The Enquirer also won awards for its Editorial and Lifestyle sections, Public Service and was named the year’s Most Improved large weekly.
The Enquirer won second place in the large weekly newspaper General Excellence category, the contest’s top prize.

Last month, the Enquirer won first place Sweepstakes honors for large weeklies in the APA’s advertising contest.
Seventy-one newspapers submitted 2,779 entries in the contest. It was judged by the Louisiana Press Association.
