Lady Bulldogs sweep Fairview

The Lady Bulldogs managed a sweep of area foe Fairview in Priceville April 10 to improve to 19-15.
In Game 1, Deleasa Henderson and Danielle Richard each had two singles and Sumer Boyd and Caitlin Williams each added a double. Richard, Boyd, Meaghan Bond and Katelyn St. John each had an RBI.
In Game 2, Henderson hit a home run and added a triple while picking up two RBIs. Richard hit an RBI-double and Henderson and Bond each scored two runs. Chasity Martin scored a run and Maria Stejskal each scored a run and Stejskal added an RBI with a squeeze bunt.
Bond earned the win in both games, allowing just five hits in 14 innings of work in the doubleheader.
Danville 12, Haleyville 1
Kristen Thompson struck out 11 batters for the Lady Hawks in their win on April 12. She also hit a single and double.
Mallory George hit two doubles; Kristen Sparkman hit a double and two singles and Sara Terry had a triple and a single. Whitney Haggamaker and Nicole Linderman each singled once.
West Morgan 3, Danville 1
West Morgan ace Lauren Seibert struck out 10 and allowed just three hits as the Lady Hawks fell on the road April 10.
Bethany Evans hit two singles and Nicole Linderman also singled.
Priceville 3, Brooks 1
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Brooks April 6 at the Bob Jones tournament in Madison.
Meaghan Bond picked up the win, scattering eight hits and striking out six in seven innings of work. The Lady Bulldogs had just four hits, but made them count.
Sumer Boyd hit a single and a double and scored a run and Chasity Martin had an RBI and a single. Katelyn St. John had the other single for Priceville.
In its losses at the tournament, the Lady Bulldogs fell 11-3 to Greenbriar (Tenn.) and 9-2 to Assumption (Ky.).
